Travel Programs

Our Travel Programs offer competitive regional play

COVID-19 NOTICE: We have released our Safe Return to Play Guidelines in line with the state's COVID-19 Reopening Guidance for Amateur and Youth Sports as provided by the Governor’s Economic Reopening Taskforce to determine the exact details for the 2020 Fall season.

Our Travel Soccer program is for players in the 9U-15U age groups (both Fall and Spring) and also 16U-19U age group (Spring season only). Travel teams are registered to play with Northern New England Soccer League (NNESL) affiliated with US Club Soccer. The Spring Season starts mid-April and finishes late June. The Fall Season starts late August and may run through early November. Games are played mostly on Saturdays with some Sundays (home or away). A player's team placement is determined by birth-year, as set forth by U.S. Soccer. Our U9-U10 Travel Soccer teams practice twice each week for 90 minutes, play eight league games, and participate in an end-of-season soccer jamboree. There are no playoffs in this age division. A Garrison City F.C. uniform is required (jersey, shorts, and socks). Uniforms are purchased separately prior to the season and not included in the registration fee. For those not ready for competitive Travel Soccer, Trainer Player options are available (see below).

NEW FALL 2020: GCFC will not provide soccer balls to Travel players. Travel players are to bring their own soccer ball to practice and games. We recommend purchasing a ball from Dicks or the WeGotSoccer Store.

NOTE: Typically, all players are required to attend evaluations. However, evaluations will not be held for the upcoming Fall season. All registered players will be rostered to a team.

DSA-Travel-U13-2

Ages U16-U19 (Spring Season Only)

Games-Only Fee

During the Spring Season, we offer a U16-U19 high school level program that provides continued player development and competition for those playing on a Fall team while also being cost effective and flexible for multi-sport athletes. This is accomplished through competitive regional game play, without the pressure of committing to practice days at a considerably reduced player fee. Players who have the Dover Soccer Adidas "hoop" style uniforms should plan to wear those to game days. Otherwise, we will issue players a jersey to be returned at the end of the season. Please understand, these are Garrison City F.C.-owned jerseys, so a small refundable deposit is required. Travel players are to bring their own soccer ball to practice and games. We recommend purchasing a ball from Dicks or the WeGotSoccer Store.

NOTE: No evaluations are required at the U16-U19 high school age division.

Training Player Option

9U-15U age groups

Garrison City F.C. understands not all players may be ready to play at the competitive travel level. With that in mind, we have created the role of a “Training Player” to help develop players. Training players will be identified during travel evaluations, will practice with their team twice a week, and may have the ability to play in games once the coach determines developmental wise the player is ready. Training players pay (1/2) half the travel fee for that age group, and will be issued a uniform jersey to be returned at the end of the season.
