GCFC's Guidelines for Return to Safe Play

The City of Dover has approved our COVID-19 Reopening Guidelines. Please review these when you get a chance, as there's roles for all of us - coaches, players, parents/guardians, volunteers, and others - to help ensure a safe return to soccer this fall.

Dover Soccer Association is now Garrison City F.C.

Dover Soccer Association (DSA) is pleased to announce it is changing its name to Garrison City F.C. (GCFC). The new brand and logo honors Dover’s history and the future of soccer for Dover and its surrounding communities.

“Our organization is built on the efforts of countless volunteers who have created a solid foundation for Dover soccer,” said Scott Farmer, President, Garrison City F.C. “As we enter our 35th anniversary year, I am excited to take this next step with the Board, our current volunteers and others.”

Garrison City F.C. is dedicated to developing players and coaches. Its grassroots programs (Little Kickers and Academy) and travel program will continue to emphasize the qualities of sportsmanship, player growth and development, competition, and teamwork.

Efforts by the all-volunteer Board members to implement the new brand are underway and will take effect in conjunction with the spring season. This will include, for example, new uniforms and gear featuring the new logo as well as migration to a new, mobile-friendly website ( and updated Facebook page. Information on progress will be shared through Facebook, email, and other communications. For now, Garrison City Football Club’s Facebook page remains Dover Soccer Association and the website at

“We are all excited for the future of Garrison City F.C. and for the spring season when we will officially play under this new name,” said Farmer.
