Academy Program

Our Academy Program builds skills and a love of the game

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR COVID-19: We are reducing and capping the number of participants for our Fall 2020 Academy program (birth years 2013-2015) in order to provide a safe playing environment within the state's COVID-19 Reopening Guidance for Amateur and Youth Sports and GCFC's own Return to Safe Play Guidelines.  Our registration portal will enforce limits for U6 (Monday's BY 2015) and for U7/8 (Wednesday's BY 2014/2013).

NOTE: If you miss the cap, please send your player name, birth year and contact information to Duncan Ross, our VP of Grassroots programs and he will add you to a waiting list.  We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times.

The Academy Program is for players in the U6-U8 age range (view U.S. Soccer's Age Matrix) and is designed to provide a fun and positive environment for players to build the basic skills and creativity important for progressing in the sport. All U6 Academy players are allowed to wear sneakers, with shin pads and soccer socks optional. All U7-U8 Academy players are expected to wear cleats with shin pads and soccer socks required. Both U6 and U7-U8 Academy players receive an Academy shirt and size 3 soccer ball that is theirs to keep. Each week, Academy players have two sessions.

NOTE: The Fall 2020 season typically starts in late August and ends later in October.

We can't do it without you! Volunteer coaches needed!

We need coaching volunteers. Prior experience in any sport is a plus but not necessary. Coaches receive lesson plans and direct support from our Seacoast United community training partners. We give you all the tools to be a successful part of your child’s Academy soccer experience - and we will cover your child's registration fee as token of our appreciation!  Contact us if interested.
